MANISTEE RIVER TRAIL TEST HIKE
(mandatory for below rim hikers)

START OF A LONG DAY HIKE
Sunday morning at 6:45 we caravaned to the Hikers Parking Lot where we began the Day-Pack checklist to receive the first tag of the day. The canoe company school bus awaited to take us to the trail head to start our hike challenge. The team, a mixture of veterans and first timers, was energetic and ready to challenge each one's chosen distance. The weather was cool but would become quite humid as the day warmed.
