Thursday, December 8  We will leave mid morning for our short flight to Honolulu on the Island of Oahu. After check in at our hotel I will lead a hike in the Waikiki area including their famous beach, Ala Moana Park, and the Ali Wai Canal.

Friday, December 9  I plan to lead a morning hike through Kapiolani Park, along the coast and up to Diamond Head. This will be a good day to visit Pearl Harbor and they will be honoring the 70th anniversary of that fateful event. You will also want to check out the Honolulu Marathon Expo.

Saturday, December 10  I will lead an optional morning hike up Mt. Tanulus for a breathtaking rain forest hike.  This also is another opportunity to check out the Honolulu Marathon Expo and for those in the race tomorrow to get their packets. Christmas shopping in your flip-flops is another option. In the evening the Cheesecake Factory is my recommendation for the Marathoners to carbo load.
